Myoplex is the brainchild of Bill Phillips, author of "Body for Life." Phillips designed a 12-week exercise and diet program that claims to help individuals change their body composition and lose excess body fat. The program uses a protein powder drink developed by Phillips as a nutritional supplement to help build muscle. This protein powder is named Myoplex. Myoplex Original Powder is sold by EAS.

Protein Blend

Myoplex Original Powder has 42 g of protein. According to the EAS company, Myoplex Original Powder has a special protein blend called MyoPro blend. This blend is a special protein combination designed by EAS and includes whey protein concentrate, calcium caseinate, milk protein isolate, whey protein isolate, egg albumin, taurine and L-Glutamine.

Flavorings

Other ingredients in Myoplex Original include corn maltodextrin, cocoa powder, dairy creamer made of sunflower oil, calcium caseinate, soy lecithin, mono- and di-glycerides, potassium phosphate, natural and artificial flavors, oat fiber, medium-chain triglycerides and calcium phosphate.

Vitamins and Minerals

Myoplex Original also includes a vitamin and mineral blend of magnesium oxide, di-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, ascorbic acid, niacinamide, ferrous fumarate, zinc oxide, calcium panthothenate, manganese gluconate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, copper sulfate, boron proteinate, riboflavin, thiamin hydrochloride, vitamin A palmitate, amino acid chelate, cyanocobalamin, potassium iodide, molybdenum amino acid chelate, selenium, potassium phosphate, potassium chloride, salt, xanthan gum, carrageenan, acesulfame potassium, sodium phosphate, sucralose, potassium citrate and beta carotene.

Nutritional Facts

Myoplex Original Powder has 78 g per serving. Each serving has 300 calories, 6 g fat, 50 mg cholesterol, 250 mg sodium, 875 mg potassium, 22 g carbohydrate, 3 g dietary fiber, 1 g sugars and 42 g protein. The daily percentage of vitamins and minerals includes 40 percent of vitamins C, thiamin and iron; 45 percent of niacin, B6, biotin and phosphorus; 50 percent of vitamins A, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, iodine, magnesium, zinc, selenium and copper; 60 percent of B12 and calcium; 80 percent of manganese and chromium; 90 percent of molybdenum; and 100 percent vitamin E.
