High blood pressure is usually managed through medication, exercise and lifestyle changes. Cream of tartar may be another choice for lowering blood pressure, but should not replace traditional medical practices. Speak with your doctor before trying any home remedies to avoid drug interactions or a dramatic reduction in your blood pressure.
Cream of tartar is also known as potassium bitartrate. Potassium bitratrate can be used as a diuretic. A diuretic is often recommended in the management of high blood pressure.
Cream of Tartar
Step 1
Rid your body of excess salt by consuming cream of tartar. Consume a diuretic, such as cream of tartar, and your kidneys release an increased amount of salt in your urine.
Step 2
Rid your body of excess water as your body expels the sodium into your urine. Lower the fluid pressure in veins through the reduced water content in your blood.
Step 3
Reduce your blood pressure through the reduced sodium and water content in your blood by continuing to use a diuretic such as cream of tartar.
