The Springbak company produces insoles designed to not only comfort feet but also improve volleyball performance. According to the Springbak website, its innovative Springsoles help volleyball players jump higher, run faster and even hit the ball harder. According to Hugh McCutchen, an assistant coach of the U.S. Men's National Volleyball Team, players wearing Springbak Springsoles hit the ball 5 percent faster and jumped an average 3 inches higher during practices, according to the Springbak site. U.S. Olympic teams as well as elite NCAA volleyball squads use Springsoles during competition.
