The bindings of your skis may shift out of place during a high-impact landing. Properly adjusting the components of your snow skis will allow you to remain safe. While you won't have the ability to adjust the molded ski blade, you can shift the position of the bindings to accommodate the various types of terrain. Consult a DIN chart before adjusting your skis. According to Home Boy Ski, the DIN chart assesses your weight, boot length, age and level of skill.

Step 1

Lay your skis onto a flat worktable. Tighten or loosen the screws at the front of your bindings to adjust the DIN setting. Position your skiing boot into the binding of your skis.

Step 2

Move the heel section of the binding forward until it fits snugly against the back of your boot. Tighten or loosen the screws found at the back of the bindings to adjust the DIN setting. Push the binding lever to release your boot.

Step 3

Loosen and remove the screws located in the sole of the binding. Move the binding across the ski blade to adjust the placement. Position the binding over the mounts and tighten the screws.
