Heart rate monitor watches alert you to your heart rate during any given activity. The heart rate monitor on the HRS610 watch can be easily set up so you can use it on a daily basis. Wear this wrist watch just as you would an average watch; for better heart rate readings, apply a small amount of saliva to the metal electrodes that touch the skin on the back of the watch for greater conductivity. Consult with your doctor to find out your ideal resting and active heart rate.
Step 1
Push the left button until your desired upper limit blinks repetitively. Then, push the right button to increase in five-beat increments. The highest setting is 240 beats, and the lowest is 70 beats. Set your range within the guidelines recommended by your doctor for your current health condition.
Step 2
Display the heart symbol by pressing the right button until the watch displays a heart. This should take about five seconds. The heart flashes correspondingly with your heart rate. Should the heart flash with irregularity, check your watch for proper positioning and good conductivity. Stop the heart rate measurements by removing the watch or pressing the button on the left to return to time mode.
Step 3
Push the right button to turn off the alarm which indicates you have reached your target heart rate. This alarm beeps with each heart beat if you go above or below your target zone limit.
Tips and Warnings
- If you have no cardiac issues, set the watch to 120 for the lower limit and 150 for the upper limit.
- Do not put your heart rate watch in water.
