Your arteries may become clogged due to an elevated amount of cholesterol in your system. When this happens, cholesterol lines the sides of your blood vessels, making it difficult for oxygen to flow. Reduced oxygen flow can lead to pain or discomfort in your legs or other areas, or a more serious reaction such as a heart attack or stroke. Adhere to a few lifestyle habits which may help clean up your arteries and maintain oxygen flow. Follow your doctor's advice regarding the best treatment for your body.

Participate in at least 30 minutes of daily physical activity. Choose from aerobic activities such as walking, running, biking, dancing or swimming.
