Overview

Like the rest of your body, your face needs exercise to retain its shape and to safeguard its fragile skin against wrinkling. For many women, this wrinkling begins as the forehead loses its firmness and the eyelids begin to fall down around the eyes. Fortunately, this situation can be prevented and sometimes reversed if you know how to do a facial exercise for the eyes that deals with this eyelid overlap problem.

Eyebrow Lift Exercise

Step 1

Position the three middle fingers of each of your hands right under each eyebrow. The pads of your fingertips should rest directly on the bone underneath your eyebrows.

Step 2

Rest the palms of your hands against your face.

Step 3

Push your eyebrows upwards and a little outwards. Hold the position for five seconds.

Step 4

Hold your eyebrows high and push them down against your fingertips for approximately five seconds.

Step 5

Take your hands away from your face and take two deep breaths.

Step 6

Repeat the exercise again, but hold the pose for 10 seconds this time and close your eyes after the seventh second.

Step 7

Drop your hands away from your face, breathe in through your mouth and breathe out through your nose.

Step 8

Repeat the exercise for 10 seconds each two more times.

Eyebed Firming Exercise

Step 1

Press two fingers on each side of your head, at the temple, as you quickly open and close your eyes about five times. Repeat the exercise five more times.

Step 2

Close your eyes. Move your eyes as far up and as far down as you can while you keep your eyes closed for a total of 11 up and down movements.

Step 3

Close your eyes and move your eyebrows as far up as they can go then stretch your eyelids as far down as they can go. Hold the pose for 5 breaths and then repeat the exercise 5 times.

Step 4

Lift your eyebrows up as you close your eyelids halfway then open your eyes as wide as they will open. Repeat the exercise five times.

Step 5

Look straight ahead with your eyes open. Look up then quickly look down without moving your head. Look to the right and then to the left. Repeat the exercise 10 times.

Tips and Warnings

  • Do the exercises every day for a month, then do them three times per week to maintain results.
