Cycling associations around the world promote cycling for sport and recreation. Cycling associations offer member benefits including local rides and clubs, cycling travel resources and the latest news. Aside from promoting the sport of cycling, these associations encourage using a bicycle instead of a car as transportation to decrease greenhouse gas emissions and noise pollution.

USA Cycling

USA Cycling organizes more than 2,500 competitions and fun rides for road, mountain and track, as well as cyclo-cross and BMX biking each year. Members of USA Cycling have access to cycling resources such as the latest news, bike shops, tips and clinics. Joining USA Cycling offers members opportunities to connect with local clubs and coaches in your area as well as programs to receive your cycling coach license, as well as your competition official or mechanic certification.

Canadian Cycling Association

The Canadian Cycling Association events calendar features road, track, BMX, cyclo-cross, mountain bike and para-cycling events. Organizing and promoting cycling in Canada is the stated mission statement of this sports organization. The CCA envisions Canada as a leading competitive cycling nation by the year 2020. It hopes to achieve this goal by creating and sustaining an effective system to develop Canadian cyclists to participate in the Olympics.

CTC

The CTC is the national cyclist's association in the United Kingdom. Established in 1878, this nonprofit is funded through donations and a membership of about 60,000. This organization promotes cycling for travel, recreation and transport. The CTC sponsors local and national rides and campaigns for cyclists' rights. A travel section including a routes and maps creator helps you plan your next biking trip.

European Cyclists' Federation

The European Cyclists' Federation promotes cycling for environment-friendly transportation and sport at a local, regional and national level. It also educates the public and private sector about the health benefits of cycling and road cycling safety. The ECF provides information, suggestions and advice to authorities regarding cycling for industry, transportation companies and the tourism industry. It also lobbies with the European Conference of Ministers of Transport, with the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, with the EU Parliament and with the EU Commission for the interests of cycling.

Cycling Federation of India

The Cycling Federation of India promotes cycling sports and boasts an affiliation with the Indian Olympic Association, along with Asian Cycling Confederation and Union Cycliste International. Its purpose is to direct, develop, regulate and control cycling sports of all forms, including motocross, road track and mountain biking in India. This cycling association also conducts National Coaching Camps for elite men and women selected by their performance in the National Championship.

Asian Cycling Confederation

The Asian Cycling Confederation is one of five Continental Cycling Confederations of the International Cycling Union. It aims to promote the sport of cycling in all forms on the Asian Continent and around the world. It consists of 40 Asian National Cycling Federations, including countries from the Middle East as well as the Far East.
