How to Lose Weight Fast & Cheap

For most people, weight loss is a difficult prospect, but it doesn't have to be an all-consuming or super-expensive thing. It just takes a bit of commitment, especially knowing the health benefits of losing weight, such as a reduced risk of conditions like diabetes and heart disease. When you take these things into consideration, the thought of losing weight fast doesn't seem as hard.

Step 1

Cut out unhealthy snacks. Throw out anything you keep in your pantry that's high in fat, sugar, calories or cholesterol. These foods serve as too great a temptation and will only make your weight loss efforts stall out. They provide fat and empty calories that make it difficult for you to cut the calories you need to to lose weight. Opt for granola bars instead of cookies and whole-wheat pretzels rather than chips.

Step 2

Quit drinking sodas. They contain a high amount of calories, yet offer no nutritional content. Drink water or natural juices instead to cut your calorie intake and make weight loss a bit easier. Plus, you'll save money, since you won't have to buy soda anymore.

Step 3

Never skip breakfast. It works to rev up your metabolism, which means you'll start burning calories right away. Plus, you'll feel energized and will be less likely to overeat at lunch.

Step 4

Try to exercise first thing in the morning. Soon after rolling out of bed, commit to a quick workout. It might seem daunting at first, but working out first thing in the morning energizes your body and helps you burn a few stored calories, which means you'll be burning fat, not just calories you've consumed that day.

Step 5

Get your heart rate up every day. It doesn't matter if you go for a jog, swim or bike ride. What does matter is that you get your heart rate up each and every day for at least 30 minutes. This promotes improved heart health and will burn calories, which is essential for weight loss.
