The Asistencia Asesoría y Administración, or AAA, is a professional wrestling organization based in Mexico. The organization was founded in 1992 by wrestler Antonio Peña. Throughout its years of operation, the AAA has worked with several other professional wrestling organizations such as World Championship Wrestling, World Wrestling Entertainment, and Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling. The AAA has developed many top level wrestlers such as Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio Jr, and Konnan.

Early History 1992-1994

The AAA Wrestling organization was founded in 1992 by Antonio Pena. Pena, associated with the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre Wrestling Organization, decided to leave the company to start his own wrestling promotion. Pena signed several young popular wrestlers in the Mexican area including Konnan, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio and Psicosis. The popularity of AAA Wrestling increased in 1994, when the company joined with American Wrestling promotion World Championship Wrestling. Both the WCW and the AAA formed the When Worlds Collide wrestling event held in Los Angeles, California. The event had 13,000 fans, and was televised on pay per view in North America and Mexico.

1995-2000

In 1995, the AAA Wrestling organization lost several top wrestlers to other organizations, causing a decline in the popularity of the company. Eddie Guerrero left AAA in 1995, to compete for the Extreme Championship Wrestling company. In 1996, Guerrera, Misterio Jr, and Psicosis each left the AAA to wrestle for the North American World Championship Wrestling promotion. Despite the loss of their popular wrestlers, the AAA participated in several events for North American World Wrestling Entertainment. In 1997, selected AAA wrestlers participated in the WWE's Royal Rumble in a six man tag team match pitting Perro Aguayo, Hector Garza, and El Canek against Heavy Metal, Jerry Estrada, and Fuerza. The show drew an attendance of 60,525, and was hosted at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, Texas.

2001-2006

In the early years of 2000, AAA continued to keep fans of Mexico and the United States interested in the organization. Hector Garza, Heavy Metal, Latin Lover, and Perro Aguayo Jr. kept the fans interested with their great matches and feuds with other wrestlers. In 2004, AAA began working with Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling, where several of the wrestlers competing in matches. Following 2004, Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling and the AAA stopped having a working relationship. In 2006, AAA founder Antonio Pena died of a heart attack and the operations were taken over by Pena's sister Marisela Rolden, and her husband Joaquin.

2007-2011

Despite the death of Pena, the AAA continued to grow under its new leadership. In 2010, AAA reunited with Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling, and started a new working relationship. In late 2010, the AAA created a video game titled "Lucha Libre AAA: Heroes del Ring," the first ever virtual Mexican wrestling game.
