Natural Herbs for Leukorrhea

Leukorrhea is caused by an imbalance of hormones in the female, most typically abnormal levels (high or low) of estrogen. Leukorrhea is the medical term denoting a vaginal discharge that mostly occurs in pregnant women. The condition is caused by an excessive amount of secretions from the walls of the vagina and cervix during the gestational period. Dr. Peakes, OB/GYN at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas, states some women have excessive or profuse discharge that requires pads or panty liners, while other women don't. Ancient Chinese and other herbal remedies are available to women who wish to reduce the amount of discharge, though pregnant women are always encouraged to visit their doctor to make sure the discharge is normal and not an infection.
