Information on Force Exercise Machines

Bio Force machines are in-home strength training gyms made by Fitness Quest. These machines feature a style of resistance that utilizes rods instead of a weight stack. They compete with other popular rod resistance gyms such as Bowflex and Weider. You can complete a full-body strength workout with a Bio Force machine.

Function

Bio Force machines feature Total Nitrocell Technology, or TNT. According to the manufacturer, these nitrogen-charged cylinders provide consistent resistance through the entire range of motion of an exercise. The Bio Force owner's manual provides instructions for over 100 strength exercises you can do with the Bio Force Machine. Set the cables at the high, middle or low pulley for a diverse array of upper or lower body exercises.

Models

As of January 2011, the Bio Force gym is available in two models, the 1.7 and the 2.2. These two machines are almost identical except the 1.7 offers up to 170 lb. of resistance and the 2.2 offers up to 220 lb. of resistance. The official Fitness Quest website only features the newer, 2.2 model, which sells for about $1,000. The older, 1.7 model, sells for approximately $650.

Specs

The Bio Force machine is 52.75 inches long, 65 inches wide, 82 inches tall and weighs about 200 lb. The gym includes a lat tower and a leg-developer attachment. The amount of resistance cannot be upgraded as it can on other rod resistance gyms. The Bio Force 1.7 gym comes with a 1-year warranty while the 2.2 model comes with a lifetime warranty.

Features

The owner's manual includes an 8-week transformation workout program that includes 32 workouts. The Bio Force also comes with a workout DVD that demonstrates the proper form for several movements. Changing the weight on a Bio Force machine is easy for most. Slide the weight adjustment mechanism to the desired weight and lock it in place.
The seat and the leg developer are adjustable for individuals of different heights.
