Cycling instructor certification allows you to teach indoor cycling courses. In an indoor cycling course, the instructor leads participants in a visual journey, often imitating valleys, hills, straight-aways and finish lines. Indoor cycling is an aerobic-type workout. A 45-minute class can burn 350 to more than 600 calories, depending on the intensity. The benefits of aerobic exercise include weight loss, improved stamina and an improved immune system. It can also strengthen your heart and help you manage chronic conditions.

Indoor Cycling Class Instructor Certification

If you are working toward an instructor certification for an indoor cycling class, you will learn how to include heart rate training, teach bike setup and safety, class choreography, coaching skills and creating a mind/body connection. Upon registering for the course, you will receive an instructor manual. When you successfully complete the workshop and online assessment, you will receive a certification that is valid for two years. Completing continuing education credits will allow you to renew your certification every two years.
