Whether you are avid bodybuilder or just enjoy lifting weights, finding nutritious sources of protein sometimes can be a struggle. According to the National Strength and Conditioning Association, heavy resistance training demands a daily protein consumption of about 1.5 to 2 g per kilogram of body weight to ensure sufficient amino acids are available for muscle growth and repair. Protein bars can be a way to consume more nutrients and calories each day.
