Skim Milk
Skim milk is high in protein, calcium and vitamin D but contains no fat. The famous French cooking school Le Cordon Blue says two glasses of skim milk every day will speed up your metabolism so your body burns more calories.
Chicken
Chicken is a healthy fat-burning food when baked, broiled or grilled. Chicken is high in protein but low in fat when compared to red meat. The protein in chicken fills you up fast and makes you feel full longer. Chicken protein also requires more energy to digest. This means your metabolism must work harder to digest chicken.

St. Edwards University says oatmeal is the No. 1 fat-burning food you can eat. Oatmeal is packed with soluble fiber, which gives you energy and flushes fat out of your digestive system. Oatmeal also helps clean out cholesterol that is clogging up your arteries. Oatmeal is best eaten with honey or fruit instead of sugar.

Chili peppers are loaded with capsaicin. It makes chili peppers taste spicy and raises your heart rate. This, in turn, increases the rate at which your metabolism burns. Le Cordon Blue says chili peppers are a healthy fat-burning food that is often added to a stir-fry dishes and pastas. They make the food spicier and help reduce your waist line.
Salmon
Salmon is a fish that is packed with protein and healthy omega-3 fatty acids. This is a "good fat" that improves your immune system, cleans the cholesterol out of your system and increases your metabolism. The protein in salmon makes you feel full so you eat less.
Low-fat Yogurt
Iowa State University says low-fat yogurt can help you lose weight. Low-fat yogurt contains calcium with other bioactive ingredients that slow down your body's fat production. It also speeds up the rate at which your body burns fat. Iowa State recommends eating yogurt low in sugar. If you need to sweeten it, use honey or fruit.
