Natural Herbs That Can Improve Fertility

For thousands of years, men and women have sought natural herbs and herbal remedies to help increase fertility, some more successful than others. Herbal treatments or folk medicine has and continues to be practiced by millions, often in conjunction with more modern medical practices and technologies in a form of medicine called Complimentary Alternative Medicine (CAM) and as a form of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) practices by physicians around the world. Herbs that increase fertility are common, and several well known favorites have been used by generations for effective and successful conception.

Red Clover

The blossoms of the red clover have been used for hundreds of years to promote uterine health and is high in minerals and vitamins, especially calcium and magnesium, which are believed to be very important for conception and gestation. Dried red clover blossoms can be purchased or ordered through natural food stores or online. Mix about a tablespoon of red clover blossoms into a cup of hot water for a tea infusion every day for several months.

Dong Quai

Dong Quai is an ancient Chinese her that is well known to increase fertility when used during the period of ovulation and menstruation. Dong Quai is believed to help promote ovarian function and for regulating menstrual cycles for enhanced fertility.

Chinese Fertility Brewed Tea

A combination of well known Chinese medical herbs may be blended to create what is known in the Orient as Fertility Brew. Combine 1 ounce each of red clover blossoms, nettle leaves and raspberry leaf in 1 quart of hot or boiling water. Let the brew steep during the night. Strain and pour a cup several times throughout the day.
