Common Side Effects

Serious Side Effects
The more serious side effects of BuSpar include hallucinating, having seizures, experiencing personality or mood changes, having thoughts of suicide or suffering from involuntary movement of your face or body. If you notice any of these side effects, contact your doctor immediately.
Rare Side Effects
Although they are not common, these side effects still accompany BuSpar: high or low blood pressure, flatulence, changes in your menstrual cycle, wetting the bed, pain in your joints, nosebleeds, bruising easily, weight loss or gain, acne, noticeable changes in appetite and shortness of breath.
Signs of an Allergic Reaction
There is always the chance you will be allergic to a medication. Depending on the severity of the symptoms, it could be life-threatening, which is why you need to seek emergency medical assistance if you display any signs of an allergic reaction. Signs of an Overdose
According to Drugs.com, it is possible to overdose on BuSpar. The symptoms of this include but are not limited to nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, vomiting, drowsiness and stomach pain. Call 911 or your local poison control center immediately if you display any of these symptoms.
