How to Lose Weight by Doing Sit Ups

In a 1980s study by the University of Massachusetts on the weight loss effects of sit-ups, participants were asked to do 5,000 sit-ups over the course of 27 days. At the end of the study their body fat was measured in the stomach, upper back and buttocks, with the participants losing weight in these areas. The study did show that weight loss can be achieved through sit-ups.
