To lose 10 lbs. after your 50th birthday is not difficult. It is a matter of mathematics. A pound of fat equals 3,500 calories. Ten pounds of weight loss is the result of removing or expending 35,000 calories. There are three ways to go about this. You may adjust your diet, increase your level of activity or increase your level of activity while you amend your eating habits.

Tips and Warnings

  • Cooked food is easier to digest than raw foods. Do not starve yourself. Your body will go into alarm mode and hold onto every calorie you eat. Try to eat no more than 1,500 calories a day.
