Finding reliable information about vitamins can be difficult due to the number of websites that might provide inaccurate or misleading information.

Visit the Office of Dietary Supplements website. This website contains information about a variety of vitamins and supplements and has an extensive section on vitamin K and its effects on blood thinning medications.

Step 3

Search the University of Maryland Medical Center website. The University of Maryland Medical Center has a large section devoted to alternative medicine that provides information on sources of vitamin K, drug interactions and possible side effects from taking vitamin K supplements.

Step 4

Speak to a registered dietitian. Dietitians are professionals trained in food and nutrition. The American Dietetic Association has a database of registered dietitians around the U.S. Contacting a trained dietitian will allow you to speak to someone about vitamin K.
