Cellulite is fat deposited under your skin, making it look lumpy and dimpled. This is not a medically serious problem, but it can be unsightly and difficult to hide, especially if it is on your arms. Be realistic in your expectations of reducing its appearance. Talk with a personal trainer if you are new to exercise or are unsure where to begin.
- If you use an anti-cellulite cream or lotion and develop an allergic reaction, stop applying it and seek medical attention. Beware of creams, lotions and other cosmetic products that claim to eliminate cellulite. These claims are unfounded, and the ingredients they contain may cause a skin irritation or rash. Also avoid getting liposuction, which can actually make cellulite worse.
