How to Wrap My Feet With Tape

Whether you suffer from flat arches or plantar fasciitis, wrapping your feet with tape can provide the necessary arch support you need to minimize the pain associated with walking or running with these conditions. You can usually keep the same wrap on your feet for up to two or three days before it needs changed. Be sure to consult a professional before attempting any self treatment for foot problems.

Step 1

Pull a 2-inch section of tape from the athletic tape roll without detaching it. Attach the end of the tape to the ball of your foot just below your little toe.

Step 2

Wrap the tape across the length of your foot, around the heel and back across your foot to the ball of your foot below your big toe. Cut off the tape and attach the tape there. Make sure there are no wrinkles in the tape. Pat the tape down so it sticks to the skin.

Step 3

Wrap another piece of tape in identical fashion to the first one for additional support. Be sure to tighten the tape as you wrap it around your heel to provide support.

Step 4

Attach strips of tape across the width of your foot, starting just below your toes and going all the way down to your heel. Make sure each strip touches the next one for full coverage.

Step 5

Attach the end of the roll of tape to the side of your foot below your little toe. Wrap the tape around the side, back and other side of your foot as an anchor. Attach the end of the piece of tape to the side of your foot below your big toe.
