Relaxing and opening yoga asanas, or poses, can help you bring relief to the pain associated with an enlarged uterus. An enlarged uterus is a symptom of a condition called adenomyosis. Always discuss any new ideas about your exercise program with your doctor before you begin.

Reclining Bound Angle Pose

Reclining bound angle pose, or Supta Baddha Konasana, will massage and tone the reproductive organs. In a seated position, bring the soles of your feet together. Place your upper back onto a yoga bolster. Relax and focus on your breath. Stay in the pose for at least five minutes.

Extended Triangle Pose

Extended triangle pose, or Utthita Trikonasana, increases blood flow to the reproductive organs. In a standing position, bring your feet 3 feet apart. Turn your left foot toward the left and bring your left fingertips near your left foot. Keeping both legs straight, stretch both arms apart, opening the chest as much as possible. Hold for 20 to 30 seconds, and repeat on the other side.

Headstand

Sirsasana, or headstand, will aid in circulation of the reproductive organs. It is best to do this under the guidance of an experienced yoga teacher, and do not perform this pose if you are on your menstrual cycle. Come near a wall, place the top of your head on the floor, and interlock your fingers at the back of your head. Turn your body upside-down, using the wall for assistance and placing little weight on your head. Work up to holding the pose for three minutes.

Marichyasana

Marichyasana, or torso and leg stretch, is a twisting pose that relieves inflammation in the abdominal organs. In a seated position, bend your right leg and place your right foot near your pelvis. Bring your right arm to the inside of your right knee and twist the upper body to the left. Hold for 20 to 30 seconds and repeat on the other side.
