An effective resistive training program can increase the production of growth hormone in your body. According to Body Building for You.com, this program should be performed for about 15 minutes four days a week. When your muscles contract during resistance or anaerobic exercises, it stimulates your body and increases the production of growth hormones. Furthermore, Mohammad Javad Pourvaghar in "Digest Journal of Nanomaterials and Biostructures" found aerobic activity on the treadmill increases hormones produced by your thyroid.

Chest Press

Anaerobic activity such as a chest press increases the natural production of human growth hormones. This weight training activity requires dumbbells. Begin by lying flat on your back, with a dumbbell in each hand. Your arms should be out wide by your sides. Push your hands up as they come together; they will need to meet above your chest with your arms straight. Then slowly lower.

Bent-Over Row with Dumbbell

Another resistance exercise that aids in production of human growth hormone is a bent-over row with dumbbell. Stand with your feet shoulder width apart. Bend over so your back is straight and your bottom sticks out slightly. You will want to appear as if you are about to sit down. Your hand should rest at your side with a dumbbell in it. Slowly bring the arm up bending the elbow, and then return your arm to its starting position.

Knee Extension

Performing knee extensions can also stimulate the production of growth hormones in your body. Begin by sitting down either on a weight bench or chair. Fasten ankle weights to your foot. Both feet should be placed on the ground in a sitting position. Next, bring the leg with ankle weights attached straight out in front of you. Pause with your leg extended, and then return to the starting position.

Run on Treadmill

Aerobic activity described as exhausting can increase the thyroid hormones used by your body to help you grow. According to Mohammad Javad Pourvaghar in the "Digest Journal of Nanomaterials and Biostructures," the thyroid gland produces hormones, which regulate your growth. When males were asked to run on the treadmill for an extending amount of time, enough so where they were tired, it increased the thyroid production of the hormone, which affects the metabolism.
