Indian cuisine varies depending on the region. In the north, they have curries and creamy sauces. In the south, many dishes consist of a variety of fruits and vegetables and are centered on hot spices, while in the east many of the dishes are based around rice and vegetables. Western Indian cuisine is diverse with spicy vegetarian and meat dishes. Many Indian dishes are considered healthy meals.

Coriander is another common spice in Indian foods. It has 288 calories per 100g, 14g protein, 16g fat, 4g minerals, 33g fiber, 22g carbohydrates, 630mg calcium, 393mg phosphorous and 7mg iron.
