How to Use a Food Recipe to Get Rid of Belly Fat

According to the Flat Belly Diet, you can eat prepare recipes using certain foods in order to get rid of belly fat. The basis of the eating plan is to make recipes that include monounsaturated fatty acids. Besides eating meals that include foods high in monounsaturated fatty acids, you'll also need to cut the amount of calories in the recipes you do prepare.

Step 1

Include nuts in the food recipe that you are making. Nuts, such as almonds and macadamia nuts, can be added to salads, dairy items and vegetables in order to increase your consumption of monounsaturated fatty acids.

Step 2

Replace any milk chocolate with dark chocolate in your dessert recipes. Dark chocolate is full of antioxidants and can help reduce belly fat when used in combination with other low-fat ingredients.

Step 3

Cook with olive oil. If the recipe you are using calls for any fats, replace the ingredient with olive oil. Olive oil is extremely high in monounsaturated fatty acids and can help the body get rid of belly fat.

Step 4

Skip any ingredients that will cause bloating in the abdomen. Do not use any extra salt or add foods that have a high number of carbs. Gassy foods will also need to be avoided if you want to get rid of belly fat. Broccoli, garlic, beans and fatty pieces of meat can all cause bloating and add inches to your waistline.

  • Remember to exercise in addition to preparing recipes that can help you lose belly fat. Aerobics that work the ab muscles, like rowing and cycling, will help you trim the tummy area.
