Many of us experience back pain at some point throughout our lives. The pain may be caused by many factors including injury, stress, and bad posture. Some of us might pop some pain medicine while others may seek help through massage. If none of these methods work, consider either inversion therapy or back exercise machines.

Inversion Therapy

Inversion therapy treats back pain by diminishing the effects of gravity on the spinal column and spinal discs. This allows the muscles around the spine to relax. An inversion table allows you to invert your body, or lie upside down, safely. This position reduces some if not all of the gravitational pull on your back, thus increasing the space between the spinal discs to reduce back pain and strain. Other benefits of inversion therapy include improved oxygen, blood flow and circulation, stress relief, increased flexibility and improved posture.

Back Exercise Machines

Another popular theory to consider when finding ways to ease back pain is to strengthen your back, abdominal and leg muscles. Back exercises strengthen your back muscles in order to reduce pain. There are many different types of back exercise machines to choose from. Make sure to take note and choose machines that will help build a stronger back, such as a Roman Chair. Be sure to work out on your legs and abdominals too. Your legs support your back so it makes sense to spend some time building strong leg muscles to reduce back pain. Tight abs will help reduce back pain as well.
