Exercises
You can perform about 100 exercises on each Bowflex home gym depending on the model. The Bowflex Classic home gym, for example, features 95 exercises including leg presses, preacher curls and rows. The BowFlex Revolution, however, has more than 100 exercises and allows you to select the exercises based on your personal fitness interests and goals. The wide selection of exercises comes from the free motion cable arms that adjust to different positions.
Resistance
Bowflex home gyms use two types of resistance--Power Rod Technology and SpiraFlex. Both types of resistance eliminate inertia while reducing stress on the joints and tendons. The Power Rod Technology is used on the Classic home gym and features a pulley/cable system with flexible rods while the Revolution and newer models use the SpiraFlex with a linear, uniform resistance. You can easily change the resistance by adding or removing the Power Rods or SpiraFlex plates with the resistance levels reaching 200 to 300 lbs. of resistance to challenge any fitness level.
Design
The overall size, shape and design of the Bowflex home gyms allow you to perform a wide range of exercises without requiring a lot of space. The general footprint of the home gyms measure 63 inches long, 109 inches wide and 73 inches tall, making it easy to fit into rooms or basements. You can also fold the bench for storage or use the built-in wheels for rolling to new locations or different rooms.
Warranty
Bowflex covers the home gyms with an extended warranty plan that protects your investment from defects or damage. The frame and parts are covered with a 10-year limited warranty along with a 6-week "Fitness Results Guaranteed."
