Waiting for your missed period before taking a pregnancy test can be hard. If you're especially intuitive, you can use some of the immediate signs that you're pregnant that appear before your missed period to give you some clues as to whether you're with child or not. Although some of the biggest symptoms might me missing, you may notice small changes in your body even the day before your missed period that let you know if you are pregnant.

Almost the moment you get pregnant, your hormones go into action to support that pregnancy. Progesterone is a hormone that is released at the beginning of pregnancy, and the Mayo Clinic notes that in high doses, progesterone makes women sleepy.

Breast Tenderness

According to the American Pregnancy Association, swollen or tender breasts can be experienced from one to two weeks after conception. This makes it very likely that you'd notice it a day before your missed period. You may find that your breasts may be extra sensitive or even painful to touch. This is mostly from the influx of hormones in your body following conception.

Implantation Bleeding

Slight spotting or even a flow like a real period may come before or around that time of your usual period, which confuses a lot of women into thinking that they aren't pregnant. Implantation bleeding occurs about six to 14 days after conception as the fertilized egg implants itself in your uterus to grow for the duration of the pregnancy.

Raised Temperature

Your basal body temperature is your temperature taken by mouth in the morning before becoming active. When you become pregnant, your basal body temperature will remain elevated for the next two weeks up until your missed period. In those two weeks until your missed period, your basal body temperature may range from 98.5 degrees Fahrenheit to 99.2 degrees Fahrenheit, or around 0.4 degrees Fahrenheit higher than your usual temperature. For more information about basal body temperature, see the Resources section.

Faintness or Dizziness

The Mayo Clinic notes that as soon as you become pregnant, your blood vessels dilate, which can result in a feeling of dizziness or faintness. This can also be a result of low blood sugar, which is a fairly common condition for pregnant women. Matched with other symptoms, sudden dizziness that lasts could be a very good clue that you're pregnant even before you've missed your period.
