How Can I Lose Weight Really Fast?
Overview
It is possible to lose weight really fast through fasting, diet pills and fad diets. These methods will not allow you to sustain your weight loss in the long-term, however, because you will gain weight back after you quit fasting, stop taking the pills and discontinue dieting. Instead, you can follow specific guidelines to help you not only lose weight really fast, but permanently.
Step 1
Eat small meals throughout your day. Make breakfast your biggest meal. Eat as quickly as possible upon waking up in the morning to prevent yourself from excess hunger later on in the day. If you work in the daytime, eat at 7:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Step 2
Treat food as a medicine that helps your body prevent illness. Eat foods from all of the five food groups (vegetables, fruits, meat, carbohydrates, dairy and small portions of fat). Avoid eating junk foods like chips, cookies, ice cream, hamburgers, French fries, soda, etc. as these often cause you to develop diabetes, heart disease, obesity and other health problems.
Step 3
Avoid eating when you are in a rush. Slow down to really enjoy the process of eating your meal. Do not eat as you walk or drive, as this can cause you to eat more calories than your body really needs. You should instead sit down to eat as this will help you eat slower, which will help you lose weight really fast because your brain will have enough time to receive a signal from your stomach indicating when you are full.
Step 4
Have a fiber-rich diet to help you fell full for a longer amount of time and enable your stomach to digest food properly. Eat foods like beans, chickpeas, figs, strawberries, apples, nuts, potatoes and brown rice to ensure your body receives adequate fiber.
Step 5
Include protein in each of your meals to help your body grow and repair your muscle mass, which helps speed the process of calorie-burning. You can eat foods like chicken or turkey breast (with the skin removed), low-fat cottage cheese, tuna and white eggs to receive protein.
Step 6
Avoid food temptations. Get rid of all the fattening foods that tempt you to overeat. Remove all chips, chocolates, pastries and biscuits from your house. Replace these foods with fresh fruits and vegetables (as these foods have very little calories).
Step 7
Find food substitutes for the foods you crave and tend to overeat as a result. Have frozen grapes instead of candy or chocolates (as frozen grapes prove you the sweetness you seek in candy and chocolates without the fat). Replace regular cheese with low-fat cheese. Eat fat-free frozen yogurt instead of ice cream.
Step 8
Never eat late at night, as this prevents your body from having a chance to burn off the calories you consume, causing you to gain weight.
Step 9
Get enough exercise by walking or working out in a gym for a half hour to an hour each day. Do so because of how good it makes you feel rather than as a punishment for feeling fat.
