Table tennis, or pingpong, is a fast-paced miniaturized version of tennis that requires quick reflexes and good hand-eye coordination in order to excel. If you're training to become a pingpong master, you're going to need the right equipment, and this includes the right kind of footwear. There is a layer of gel in the mid sole's heel that disperses the shock of intense movements that would normally go up to your knees and hips. The shoe is lightweight with a strong traction and as of 2011 costs $64.99 from the Butterfly website.

Donic Waldner Flex

The Donic Waldner Flex is a new top-quality table tennis shoe with a sleek design made of extremely lightweight materials. The top of the shoe is made from breathable mesh nylon that allows maximum ventilation and comfort. The shoe comes with an EVA-orthopedic shock absorbing sole that can help relieve some of the stress put on your feet and legs during a game. Joola Bend

The Joola Bend has a very unique design and wearing it is described as "Walking in the air!" The shoe is extremely light, with the upper section made of material called Nano-PU as well as a ventilated mesh material that allows the foot to easily expel sweat. The Pylone middle sole provides a light and comfortable support, and is backed by a number of built-in support shafts made of a material called TPU. The sole's grip pattern is specially designed and features a number of strategically placed suction cups to maximize traction. As of 2011, you can purchase the Joola Bend for $89.95 from Amazon.com.
