If you want an exercise program that will target specific areas such as your thighs, butt and hips but don't want to go to a gym or exercise class, you may want to consider a book. Here is a rundown on four exercise books on butt, thigh and leg exercises published in 2010.

"Thin Thighs in 30 Days"

Former advertising executive Wendy Stehling wrote "Thin Thighs in 30 Days," which was published by Tarcher in 2010. Stehing developed her fitness program after asking her clients --- models and dancers --- how they maintained slim legs. The threefold program is divided into six leg exercises to be performed daily, a daily walk and a 30-day calorie controlled diet. According to Stehling, the program is backed up by the latest fitness and diet research.

"Bye, Bye Hams; Hello Hips: A Complete Guide to the Hips and Thighs of Your Dreams"

Lynn Pierre Jones Jr. wrote "Bye, Bye Hams; Hello Hips: A Complete Guide to the Hips and Thighs of Your Dreams." If you feel uncomfortable wearing jeans or shorts, this exercise program might be the one for you. Pierre Jones has developed an exercise regimen that he promises will help reduce fat on the hips and thighs and tighten the muscles around the bones. The book contains a series of easy-to-follow exercises with a repetition range designed to suit individual lean muscle mass.

"Six Minute Morning Thighs and Hips"

Sara Rose authored "Six Minute Morning Thighs and Hips," published in 2010 by Parragon. If you want to tone your hips and thighs but don't have a lot of time to work on them, this may be the book for you. Rose's book contains a range of easy to follow exercises that you can work through in just six minutes to tone your hips and thighs.

"Thin Thighs"

"Thin Thighs," written by Karen Burke and published by Hamlyn is an exercise book that focuses on toning and shaping the thighs and dispelling unsightly cellulite. Burke, a dermatologist and research scientist, has developed a step-by-step exercise program that incorporates exercises to trim your thighs, tasty recipes to help reduce fat and improve health and simple surface treatments to improve the appearance of your skin.
