Roping Basics

Use a jump rope that is appropriate for your height. With your foot holding the middle of the rope to the floor, the handles should just reach your armpits. Anything longer will be cumbersome. Use a lightweight rope that has easy-to-grasp handles, preferably made of foam. Wear comfortable shoes that have good toe support, because you will be bouncing mainly on the front of your foot.
