Ingredients
Wu Yi tea pills are made from the powdered leaves of oolong tea grown near the Wu Yi mountain in China. Wu Yi tea is often sold as a Chinese weight-loss tea. Taking tea pills allows you to get the benefits of oolong tea without its characteristic bitter taste. Oolong tea contains the same amount of caffeine and tannins as green tea but more polyphenols, which are a form of micronutrient. Oolong tea also contains catechins.
Lipolysis
When you eat more calories than you burn, your body changes those extra calories to fat, primarily triglycerides, and stores them for future use. Store too much fat, and you become overweight or obese. The polyphenols in oolong tea activate an enzyme that helps your body dissolve triglycerides and burn fat, a process called lipolysis. Ongoing use of Wu Yi tea pills may help you lose weight and reduce your cholesterol and serum triglyceride levels. Use Wu Yi tea pills as a part of a comprehensive program addressing weight issues. Oolong tea may also stimulate your metabolism, making it easier for you to burn calories.
Antioxidants
The polyphenols in oolong tea are also powerful antioxidants. Antioxidants protect the body from damage from free radicals, which may help prevent cancer and other diseases. Among the various types of tea, oolong tea is an especially effective antioxidant.
