Low-fat dairy products add nutrients to your diet without adding too much fat. Low-fat yogurt is a smart choice as it includes a number of vitamins, minerals and healthy cultures. Stonyfield refers to its nonfat yogurt as "0% fat" yogurt. This USDA organic yogurt uses natural ingredients without artificial additives. Compared to many other brands of nonfat yogurt, Stonyfield is a healthier choice.

Ingredients

The main ingredient in Stonyfield nonfat yogurt is organic cultured and pasteurized nonfat milk. Additionally, it contains organic naturally-milled sugar and organic natural flavoring. It is made with pectin, vitamin D and annatto extract for color instead of dyes. The peach variety contains organic peach puree. This yogurt also has bacterial cultures that are healthy for your digestive system, including L. rhamnosus, S. thermophilus, L. casei, L. bulgaricus, L. acidophilus and bifidus.

Calories and Macronutrients

A 6 oz. container of Stonyfield Nonfat Peach yogurt contains 130 calories. This is a moderate amount of calories for one serving of a food, according to FDA nutrition guidelines. Macronutrients are nutrients your body needs in large quantities for energy, including fat, protein and carbohydrates. This yogurt contains no fat or cholesterol, making it a healthy snack. It has 7 g of protein and 25 g of carbohydrates, mostly from sugar. It has no fiber.

Micronutrients

Micronutrients are necessary nutrients you need in smaller quantities including vitamins and minerals. These provide health benefits but not energy. Stonyfield 0% Peach yogurt does not contain vitamin A, vitamin C or iron. However, a 6 oz. container has 25 percent of the daily value (DV) for calcium, based on a 2000-calorie diet. It contains 20 percent of the DV for riboflavin, phosphorus and vitamin D. This yogurt also contains 15 percent of the DV for vitamin B-12, 6 percent of the DV for both pantothenic acid and magnesium, and 4 percent of the DV for vitamin B-6.

Considerations

Some other brands of nonfat yogurt include additives like aspartame and high fructose corn syrup to make up for the lack of fat. Conversely, Stonyfield brand does not include these additives. However, it does contain a high amount of sugar, with 25 g. Also, while some yogurts have gelatin, which is an animal product, Stonyfield uses pectin instead.
