To improve your health and get a flat stomach, you can attempt to lose weight. Before starting a new diet or exercise plan, however, it's vital to talk to your doctor, as you may have specific nutritional needs as an adolescent.
Healthy Foods
To get on track for a flat stomach as a teen, you first need to eat healthy foods. This means loading up on vegetables, fruits and whole grains and tossing the junk food in the trash. Anything containing saturated or trans fats should be avoided. This includes candy, chips, cookies, cakes, deep-fried foods and most fast food. Stick to lean sources of protein over fatty and opt for low-fat dairy.
Join a Physical Extracurricular Activity
Getting moving on a daily basis is essential for burning calories and losing weight. And you can't get a flat stomach with a layer of fat over it. Participating in an extracurricular activity that requires physical movement is a fun way to shed fat without it feeling like an exercise regimen. Do Abdominal Exercises
Abdominal exercises are also required to get a flat stomach. Though these exercises won't burn off fat from your tummy, they can tone the underlying muscles and give your waistline definition. Walk or Bike
To lose weight and get a flat stomach as a teen, you can also make use of your best form of transportation: your feet. Walking everywhere or riding a bike can burn many calories and ensure you get at least some physical activity every day. If your commute to school is too far, try walking around your local neighborhood with friends after school or walking your dog in the mornings.
