Staying healthy includes your physical and mental health, along with your personal fitness and overall well being. Learning to manage your stress can prevent health problems, provide tools for managing daily life and help regulate stress hormones like cortisol. To stay healthy aim for daily relaxation techniques, including meditation and yoga, which refocus your attention to something calming and increasing awareness of your body. Other popular stress reduction methods include massage, music and art.

Regular physical exams and adult health screening tests are an important part of preventive adult health care and staying healthy because often these exams allow for early detection and treatment of various conditions. Adults should meet with their doctor at least once a year for regular routine physicals to check cholesterol, blood pressure, weight, and overall health. Stay Physcially Active

For health benefits, aim for a total of 30 minutes of constant physical activity, such as biking or walking, on most days of the week. To improve overall strength, increase metabolism and prevent bone loss weight bearing activity is also important. Try resistance training at least twice a week working every major muscle group.
