How to Get 6-Pack Abs in 2 Weeks

Getting six-pack abs in two weeks is an ambitious goal that can be tough to do unless you have a flat stomach to begin with. However, getting a flatter stomach in two weeks is a realistic and obtainable goal. Because many different factors affect the stomach, all factors need to be addressed for best results. With careful attention and effort, your stomach will be flatter and sexier in just a couple weeks.

Step 1

Maintain healthy eating habits. Diets that are higher in fiber will promote healthy weight loss in a shorter amount of time. Plan to eat five to six smaller meals each day, consisting of mostly whole grains, vegetables and fruits. Steer clear of foods that are high in sugar, salt, fat or that are highly processed or refined. These will cause fat to stick to your stomach, making it hard to reach your goal.

Step 2

Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Eight 8-oz. glasses or bottles is what's recommended. This will help you eat less and will cleanse unwanted toxins that are slowing weight loss from the body.

Step 3

Engage in cardiovascular exercise. Getting at least 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise daily will produce the best results. Choose an exercise that you enjoy or find a friend to exercise with you to keep you motivated. If you need to, start with exercise that is low-impact, such as walking or swimming, then build up to more rigorous exercises. Any exercise is better than nothing, so find ways to add more exercise to your day.

Step 4

Do strength exercises for the abdominal muscles. For best results, you should do these directly following cardiovascular exercise. Also, an exercise routine that varies will be more beneficial in a shorter amount of time. Have a variety of ab workouts like crunches, reverse crunches, bicycle crunches, leg lifts and rotations or side bends that you rotate through while exercising.

Step 5

Take a deep breath. When the body senses stress, it will produce a hormone known as cortisol that promotes fat storage in the stomach. Eliminate unnecessary worries from your life. Learn to do breathing exercises or yoga to help the body relax during stressful times.
