Nintendo's "Wii Fit" is a video game workout that challenges you with mini games, various exercises, and a personal trainer that will track your movements via Wii-mote, the remote controller for the Wii, and the Wii balance board. You can perform aerobic exercises, strength training, and yoga poses on a Wii balance board. "Wii Fit" is an additional accessory to an existing Nintendo Wii system and retails for $89.99 as of 2011.

Bridge Pose

Many new exercises require you to earn credits to unlock them. The bridge pose is unlocked after three hours and 40 minutes of game play on the "Wii Fit" game. The bridge pose will target your torso and hip muscles and you can perform it on the floor or with your heels elevated on the "Wii Fit" balance board for an increased difficulty. Start by lying on your back with your knees bent and feet together. Drive through your heels and slowly lift your hips off the floor while keeping your palms and feet flat on the floor. Hold for 30 to 60 seconds, and then repeat.

Hula Hoop

The hula hoop exercise combines balance, coordination, and aerobic exercise in one movement. This exercise is performed by standing on the "Wii Fit" balance board with your feet shoulder-width apart. The game will start to toss hula hoops in your direction and you must tilt your upper body to catch them around your torso while keeping them spinning around your waist with hip circles.

Free Run or Jog

The free run or jog allows you to perform a free run or jog for a 10, 20, or 30-minute duration. This exercise is heavily aerobic and will burn a large amount of calories based on duration and intensity. Start by standing in front of your television screen with your body centered in front of the Wii sensor bar. Jog or run in place by lifting your knees upward and landing softly on your toes. Increase speed to make your on-screen Mii, the virtual version of yourself, move faster.

Pushups

Push-ups are a full body exercise that will tone your shoulders, triceps, chest, core, and legs. Place both hands on the "Wii Fit" balance board at shoulder-width apart. Keep your back flat and bend at the elbows to lower your chest toward the balance board. Once you're about to touch your chest to the board, press through your palms and return to the starting position. Repeat for desired repetitions.
