Weslo makes a budget-friendly line of fitness equipment, including elliptical trainers, treadmills and exercise bikes. The Weslo Pursuit T 3.8 is an economical bike, but it offers a large array of features, some usually only find in more expensive bikes. It has built-in programs, a step-through design and digital pedal resistance.
Design
The Weslo Pursuit T 3.8 is a recumbent exercise bike. The seat is behind the pedals so you sit in a semi-reclined position with a full back support pad. Recumbent bikes are more comfortable for most users than an upright bike. The T 3.8 has a step-through design. You do not have to step over any bar or frame to sit down in the machine.
Specifications
The Weslo Pursuit T 3.8 exercise bike is 59 in. long, 23 in. wide and 41 in. tall. The full cushioned seat adjusts horizontally to fit most users. This Weslo exercise bike offers 10 levels of pedal resistance, which you can change with the push of a button on the console. It can handle user weights up to 250 lbs.
Features
The handlebars near the console have pulse sensors so you can check your heart rate at any time during your workout. The blue-tinted LCD display shows your elapsed time, the distance that you have pedaled, your pedaling speed, your heart rate and the approximate number of calories you have burned. The Weslo Pursuit T 3.8 has a manual programming option. This offers a quick way to get your workout started -- just sit down and start pedaling.
Programs
The Weslo Pursuit T 3.8 offers six preset personal trainer programs. The bike divides each workout into 20 or 30 one-minute segments. Each segment has one resistance level and one pacer level. The bike automatically adjusts the pedal resistance for each segment. A pacer indicator light shows you whether you need to increase or decrease your pedal speed. You can manually override the pedal resistance settings by using the control buttons on the console.
