The colon absorbs food residues before they are excreted from the body. The colon is located between the rectum and cecum, a part of the large intestine. Occasionally, excess feces may remain in the colon, causing poor absorption of nutrients from digested food. Step 1
Remove all unnecessary healthy foods from your diet intake. This may include foods that are high in sugar content or that are processed such as deep fried foods, fast food, chocolate or chips. Men should have about 30 to 38 g of fiber in their diet daily, while women should consume 21 to 25 grams. Foods that contain fiber include raspberries, raisins, oranges, strawberries, spaghetti, oatmeal, almonds, black beans, raw carrots and sweet corn. Simply add these foods to your diet to help promote colon cleansing.
Step 3
Attempt to drink the recommended eight glasses of water everyday, as it is effective in helping to flush out excess out feces and toxins from your colon and digestive tract.
