Working out on a recumbent bike is not only gentler on your joints than other cardio machines, such as a treadmill, but it is also more comfortable for many users because you sit in a semi-reclined position. Recumbent bikes take up more floor space than an upright bike, but you can find compact recumbent bikes less than 45 inches long.

Significance

If you have limited floor space for your home gym, a compact recumbent bike provides you with a low-impact, comfortable workout without taking up much room. Most recumbent exercise bikes are between 52 and 65 inches long. Upright bikes are typically between 35 and 50 inches long. But these compact recumbent bikes are all less than 44 inches long. A compact recumbent bike may feel cramped if you are a tall user.

The 1050RBs has a 24-pound flywheel and a maximum user weight of 300 pounds. It offers 16 levels of resistance, 12 preset programs and four heart-rate control programs.
