How to Get Rid of Cellulite Inside Your Thighs

Cellulite is a common skin development that grows more common among women as they age. It is caused by fat deposits below the skin which become inflamed under pressure and compress, pushing the skin outward and creating the visible bumps associated with cellulite. The thighs are one of the most common locations for cellulite to form, but you can reduce and even remove it by making changes to your diet and lifestyle.

Step 1

Eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables. These foods, particularly vegetables, are high in collagen and elastin, which help build firm, healthy skin. The antioxidants in fruits help your body flush out toxins, which lower your body's overall health and aid in the development of cellulite.

Step 2

Cut out fatty foods and meats, particularly red meat, and replace them with lean meats, such as chicken, turkey and fish.

Step 3

Quit smoking or drinking and avoid taking any medications. These place the same toxins into your body that you're trying to eliminate.

Step 4

Drink a minimum of 8 glasses (64 oz.) of water a day.

Step 5

Exercise three to five times each week. Exercising helps tone your muscles, reducing the appearance of cellulite, and sweating is one of the most effective ways to purge toxins from your system.

Step 6

Apply moisturizing lotion with cocoa butter twice a day. This will add topical nutrients to your skin and keep it loose and pliable.
