My Weslo G-30 Treadmill Won't Come On

The G-30 is a motorized, residential treadmill that Weslo produced around 2006. It is no longer available as a new machine. If your G-30 doesn't turn on, Weslo provides basic troubleshooting tips for you to try. If that doesn't solve the problem, you may need to contact Weslo directly.

Identification

The Weslo G-30 is a basic motorized treadmill with limited features. The belt requires a power source to turn and it cannot be operated manually. The G-30 features digitally adjustable speeds up to 10 mph. The ramp inclines manually. You have to turn off the machine and adjust the incline legs under the deck to incline the ramp to one of three positions. The console provides basic workout information, such as time, distance, speed and approximate calories burned.

Power Source

If your Weslo G-30 treadmill doesn't turn on, the manufacturer first recommends checking to see if the machine is properly plugged-in. Plug your G-30 into a single-outlet surge suppressor that is rated as a UL 1449 transient voltage surge suppressor. Plug the surge suppressor into a properly grounded outlet with the third circular recess for a grounding pin. The G-30 is not compatible with GFCI-equipped outlets. Do not plug any other appliances into the same circuit as your treadmill.

Other Troubleshooting

If your Weslo G-30 is properly plugged-in and it still won't power on, check that the safety key is fully inserted into the console. Remove the key and plug it back in. The treadmill won't turn on if the key isn't in the console.

If your treadmill still doesn't turn on, check if the circuit breaker has been tripped. The breaker is next to the power cord on the bottom front of the treadmill. If the button protrudes, the breaker has been tripped. Turn the machine off, wait five minutes and then push the button back in.

Contact Weslo

If none of these troubleshooting tips fix the problem, you should contact Weslo directly. The original warranty on the Weslo G-30 was for 90 days from the original date of purchase, so your machine is not likely warranted unless you purchased an extended warranty from the retailer. Call Weslo service, (866-699-3756) or use the online form on the Weslo website. There is a link in the Resources section.
