Kashi is a health-themed food company, originally based in La Jolla, California. As of 2011, it is owned by the Kellogg Company; the Kashi brand continues to produce nutritional breakfast and snack products. All Kashi products are made with seven whole grains and include other natural ingredients such as fruit and nuts. Kashi GOLEAN Crunchy bars come in five flavors, each with slightly different nutritional value.

Calories

A serving of a Kashi GOLEAN Crunchy bar is one bar, weighing 45 g. Kashi GOLEAN Crunchy bars range from 150 calories per bar for the chocolate caramel flavor to 180 calories in the chocolate peanut version. The chocolate caramel flavor contains just 25 calories from fat, while the chocolate peanut and chocolate almond versions contain 45 calories.

Fats and Cholesterol

Fat content ranges from 3 g in the chocolate pretzel and chocolate caramel flavors to 5 g in both the chocolate peanut and chocolate almond varieties. The cinnamon coffee cake Kashi bar contains slightly less, with 4.5 g of fat per serving. Saturated fat content varies between 2 g in the chocolate peanut and chocolate caramel bars to 2.5 g in the rest. All Kashi GOLEAN Crunchy bars are free of cholesterol.

Carbs

All Kashi GOLEAN Crunchy bars are a rich source of carbs with 26 to 30 g of this macronutrient per serving. Kashi GOLEAN Crunchy bars can also help you meet your fiber needs, with 5 to 6 g of this specific type of carbohydrate per serving. Vitamins and minerals are substances that the body cannot produce on its own, and you must consume them in the diet to fuel all your cellular and metabolic functions. However, Kashi bars contain a moderate amount of sodium, mineral that can result in unhealthy increases in blood pressure when consumed in excess. Kashi GOLEAN Crunchy bars contain about 9 to 10 percent of the daily value for sodium.
