Don't use expensive creams and lotions to dissolve cellulite. Losing weight and toning your muscles is the only effective cure to reduce cellulite on the body. Cellulite occurs when the honeycomb-shaped connective tissue presses against the fat in your legs, stomach and butt. As you lose fat and tone your muscles, the lumpy consistency may look smoother. Talk to your doctor before starting a new exercise program, especially if you have injuries or a health condition.
Cardio Exercises
Cardio exercises burn the most calories because they get the heart pumping. Cardio exercises will help you lose weight if you are burning more calories than you consume, creating a calorie deficit. Cardio exercises that burn the most calories and involve using the lower body, where cellulite frequently appears, are the most effective. Try exercises like running, which burns about 986 calories per hour if you run at a speed of 8 miles per hour. Even if you're not able to run for the entire hour, a combination of running and walking will help burn calories.
Reverse Weighted Lunge
Improve the appearance of cellulite in your legs and butt with the reverse weighted lunge exercise. Stand up straight with your feet apart the width of your hips and your arms straight down at your sides. Hold a 5-lb. hand weight in each hand. Take a step back with your right foot, bending both knees into a lunging position, so they are at 90-degree angles. Hold this position for one full breath, then rise to the starting position. Repeat 15 times, then do the exercise with the left leg stepping back.
Walking Lunge With Bar
Stand up straight with your feet apart the width of your hips. Hold a long weighted bar in both hands, then straighten your elbows and lift the bar up toward the ceiling. Hold the bar at slightly more than shoulder-width with your palms pointing in front of you. Take a step forward with your left leg, then bend your knees into a lunging position. Straighten your legs to rise to standing, then step forward with your right leg. Bend your knees, then repeat 12 times.
Romanian Deadlift
Blast cellulite from your glutes and hamstrings with the Romanian deadlift exercise. Stand up straight with your feet apart the width of your hips with your knees unlocked. Hold one 5-lb. hand weight in each hand with your palms facing toward your body. Bend forward at the waist, engaging your butt as you bend your knees slightly. Keep your butt tight as you rise to standing. Repeat 10 times.
