There is also a career mode that takes you through the life of a cheerleader, from tryouts to competitions. There is also a mode available that allows you to create your own cheerleading routines. You can design your own character and dance and cheer to more than 30 songs with more than 300 available moves.
Game Mechanics
"All Star Cheer Squad" should be placed with the Wii remote and the Nunchuk controller. You have the option of purchasing pom-poms that can be attached to your Wii remote to make your experience much more lifelike. The Wii Balance Board can also be added into the mix if desired. You position the Wii remote in your right hand and the Nunchuk in your left. Follow the instructions on the screen to move your body and the remotes and press the correct buttons. You can add the Wii Balance Board to use your feet. Stepping on the board in the correct positioning will allow you to perform the footwork of a cheerleader. Instead of using the Balance Board, you can opt to just hit the buttons on your remote and Nunchuk to move your character onscreen.
Difficulty
"All Star Cheer Squad" tends to be an easier for game for those who have real-life cheering experience and those with extensive experience with the Nintendo Wii. If you are not familiar with either, it may take a little time to adjust. "All Star Cheer Squad" takes a great deal of coordination to get your arms and feet moving at the same time. This is especially true if you use the Wii Balance Board.
