Whether you're a cheer parent or a cheer coach, showing your appreciation for a squad's hard work with small gifts can be a morale booster. Gifts for cheerleading squads can help bind the members together by celebrating the squad's colors, members and accomplishments during a season. Whether you have a larger budget or plan on making the gifts yourself, cheer gifts are those that will stay with the members of the squad for years to come.

Retreats

If you have the budget, a retreat may be a better idea for a gift than a couple of trinkets. A cheerleading retreat allows the teammates to bond, whether it's a quick camping trip or an overnight stay at a nearby tourist attraction. By giving the squad an experience rather than a small gift, you offer memories that will help build squad morale and keep the squad solidified for the rest of the season. Whether before or after a season, a short retreat can help the squad celebrate their efforts.

Hair Ribbons and Accessories

A cheerleading squad should look bright and unified during the season. Gifting the squad with hair ribbons, wrist bands and other items that accessorize their uniforms provides squad members with items they can wear even when not dressed to cheer. Ribbons in the school colors can be used during competition and while off the court or field to easily identify which students are part of the cheer squad. Just be sure to check with cheerleading requirements to ensure the accessories are allowed as part of the official uniform.

Scrapbook

If you're short on cash but still want to give a memorable gift to the squad, a scrapbook can encompass a squad's entire year together. Talk to the coach about getting photos of the squad in action and then use paper, stickers and an album to put together a yearbook of sorts for the squad. If you're handy with a computer, you can also use websites like Scrapblog or snapfish to create scrapbooks and then print one out for each member to take home.

Water Bottles

Pump up the team spirit by gifting water bottles in the team colors or with team logos on them to each member of the squad. Water bottles are a must-have at practice and at events, so offering personalized versions makes your cheer team look even more put-together. Local businesses often offer personalization for items like water bottles and hats, but you can also do the personalization yourself using sticky vinyl and a vinyl cutter to save on costs.
