Precor EFX 5.33

This elliptical has 20 resistance levels, a variable 15 to 30-degree ramp angle, 10 preset programs and two user-defined programs. The EFX 5.33 has a touch screen interface and telemetry heart-rate monitoring. Suggested retail price for this elliptical is $4,499 as of March 2011.

Smooth Agile DMT

Smooth's Agile DMT elliptical machine is rated highly in every category by Treadmilldoctor. Sold by Agile as an adjustable motion elliptical, meaning it simulates different motions in order to offer exercise to different muscles, sells for $2,599. The Agile DMT comes with 13 preset programs and an iPod docking station.

Smooth CD 8.0LC

The CD 8.0LC by Smooth was given the Best New Elliptical Trainer 2011 award by Allellipticals.com and Treadmilldoctor.com said "One of the best new ellipticals on the market this year." This machine has an LCD touch screen interface, wireless heart-rate control, 21 preset programs, and an MP3 connection with speakers.

True Fitness ESXt

Treadmilldoctor.com says "If you just want to buy the best of everything and the price doesn't matter, then this is your elliptical" about the ESXt. This elliptical comes with 25 resistance levels, nine preset workouts, and the custom mix3 workout system. The ESXt utilizes the AutoStride technology, which adjusts the stride at various speeds to mimic the body's natural movements.
