How to Get Rid of Cellulite Fast

Cellulite affects most women and is made up of fat deposits that accumulate under your skin. This fat gives the skin a dimpled or lumpy appearance. Cellulite will most commonly appear on the thighs, hips and buttocks. Although cellulite can fade gradually over time, you can perform some techniques to get rid of the cellulite fast.

Step 1

Lose weight. Weight loss can help you get rid of cellulite. If you want to get rid of the problem areas quickly, try a diet to drop some water weight. Limit your salt intake and starches. Avoid fast food, processed meals, Asian dishes, chips, white breads, potatoes and rice.

Step 2

Build muscle in the areas where cellulite has appeared. Increase the intensity of your workouts to build muscle in the lower body. Lunges and kickbacks can work these areas and should be performed daily with 15 to 20 reps and two sets. To perform a lunge, you will leave one leg stationery, while lunging forward with your other leg. After holding the pose for a second, switch sides. For a kickback, position yourself on all fours on the floor. Keep your back straight and eyes on the floor as you kick each foot toward the ceiling while your thigh stays parallel to the ground.

Step 3

Set up an appointment for a massage to get rid of the cellulite quickly. Many salons offer lipomassage, a technique used to reduce the appearance of cellulite. During your session, the masseuse will massage your trouble spots vigorously to knead out the dimpled areas.

Step 4

Consider mesotherapy. This technique is performed at spas and involves the use of an injectable solution to get rid of cellulite. Make sure you go over the possible side effects, like infection and rash, with a technician before receiving the injection.

Tips and Warnings

  • Although there are creams available to help combat cellulite, no research has proven that these products are effective. You may also be required to use them for a significant period of time before you see any results.
